POA President Debbi Nichols today updated the community on upcoming commercial property development, The Commons at Governors Village:
The developers will be clearing and grading the lot on Governors Drive across from the Duke Weeks office building where the Chatham County Sherriff office is located. You may have noticed that the erosion fencing has been placed around the property. The community was notified of this project and the renderings were distributed to the residents this spring, and are attached to this message as well. As you know, the developers are a part of our neighborhood- The Ehrenfelds own Domicile Realty and the Bean and Barrel, and have a vested interest in this new addition to Governors Village Commercial.
They have extensive erosion control measures in place, and will be inspected and monitored by the County regularly. They will be phasing the clearing process, essentially taking out the trees in the middle of the lot to install the permanent storm drainage. Once installed, they will complete the clearing and begin construction.
Please stop in at Domicile Realty if you have questions or have an interest in purchasing office space in the Commons.
Much success to them!
