The Governors Village 2010 Annual Property Owners Meeting was held November 18, 2010. POA President Debbi Nichols presided.
Election for the 3-year, at-large Director position was won by Terry O’Brien. Running unopposed and elected by acclamation were Chris Gamber, reelected Lake representative for 3-year term; Jo Watta, reelected Park representative for 3-year term; and Thomas Wilson, elected Townhomes Representative for 1-year term. The new members join the Board in January.
Chris Gamber gave a report on Governors Lake pond, which the board voted to accept on November 2, 2010. All Division of Water Quality issues have been resolved. The developer has agreed to pay maintenance for one year and has contributed additional money to the POA for Lake area enhancement. Chris appealed to residents from all neighborhoods to volunteer to work with the Lake grounds to help beautify this amenity. Also the Lake neighborhood grounds committee is seeking a chairperson. Contact Chris to volunteer.
Treasurer Rosemary McGee reported the finances are in good shape. There is no increase in property owner dues for 2011.
Twenty-two new homes were added to the community in 2010. There were 11 purchases of existing homes.
