Joel Strangis of Talis Management Group notified residents today that the previously announced work on the Whippoorwill berms has begun.
With approval from the Board of Directors the Governors Village grounds contractor has begun a significant cut back of the wax myrtles along the berm on Whippoorwill that backs up to many homes in the Village neighborhood. The intent is that these plants will rejuvenate from the ground up and over time provide better screening for the homes that back up to that berm. In addition over the summer the Village neighborhood grounds committee will review planting options for a fall program to improve the look of those berms. While the initial look might be shocking we believe the eventual result will be pleasing.
