Teen Internet Safety and Security Training

On October 20, 2011 at 7:00 pm, the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department will give a lecture on Internet Safety and Security.  Topics will include how to protect information, how to prevent hacking, how to detect hacking, and measures to be taken when a computer is hacked. This lecture is geared for teenagers; however, parents are invited and encouraged to attend.

There are several options for a location for this presentation. A final decision on venue will be made after organizers determine the approximate number of attendees.

If you wish to attend or have your children attend, please respond to Terry OBrien tcob0304 at yahoo.com, who is coordinating with the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Department had made this presentation for other communities and it has been extremely well received. We encourge your participation.
