Governors Village homeowners assembled Thursday, November 19, 2011 at Mt. Carmel Church for the annual Property Owners Association (POA) meeting. The community manager, Joel Strangis, reported there were 66 people in attendance.
Wesley Weaver (Village) was elected to serve a 3-year term as Village Director. Two incumbents ran unopposed for 3-year seats and were elected by acclamation: Otto White (Forest), At-Large Director; Thomas Wilson, (Townes), Townes of Governors Village Director. New Board members begin serving their terms immediately. There will be an election of officers at the December board meeting. The date for that meeting has not been set.
