Salvia guaranitica ‘Black and Blue’

Bring a Plant, Take a Plant or Bring a Few, Take a Few

The first annual Governors Village Neighborhood Gardens Plant Swap is scheduled for Sunday, October 6, 2013. This event will take place 11:00 am – 2:00 pm in the pool parking lot, rain or shine.

A plant swap is a fun way to get rid of any extra plants you may have (perennial divisions, extra seedlings, pack annuals, unwanted house plants) by trading them with other neighbors. Tents and tables will be set up and volunteers will be on hand to assist.

The plant swap is sponsored by Neighborhood Gardens, a committee of residents interested in gardening: Cheri Simpson, Chair; Cliff Simpson, Keith Larkin, Adele McLean, Maria Smith, Ted Smith, Joanne Donaton, Ann White and Susie Moffat. The group is also working on plans for the second annual Governors Village Garden Tour scheduled for Sunday, April 27, 2014, 1:00 – 5:00 pm.
