13th Annual Governors Village Luminary Night will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, December 14th, with a rain date of Sunday, December 15th. Once again, Domicile Realty will be hosting a community event at the Bean and Barrel as part of our Luminary Night.
For this event to be possible, we need coordinators for each area of our neighborhood. We are still in need of a coordinator for Governors Lake. If you are interested in serving as the coordinator for this area, please contact me either via email (watkinsnc at earthlink.net) or phone (919-969-9840). The coordinators for the other areas of our neighborhood are as follows:
Governors Village – Leslie Nelson (20078 Long)/Tory Apolito (20054 Fountain)/Jennifer Leonard (10042 Fountain)/Anne Weaver (20024 Boyd)
Governors Forest – Ann White (10026 Hammock Bend)
Governors Park – Tim Watkins (30083 Britt)
Townes – Denise Bonomolo (20023 Roark Hoey Loop)
Our area coordinators will be accepting donations and coordinating the event for their area. In addition to donations for the Ronald McDonald House, there are other ways you can help out with this event, including preparing luminaries, setting them out, lighting them, and/or cleaning up. If you are interested in helping out, please contact your area coordinator (for now, neighbors in the Governors Lake can contact Tim Watkins). Be on the look out for a flier in your mail in the next few weeks with additional information.
