The Governors Village 14th Annual Firemen’s Fundraiser was held on Saturday, July 13, 2019.

The day was very warm, but families still came out to support our firemen and to enjoy the bounce house, face painting, water activities, food and ice cream.

Several fire trucks were there, and the firemen conducted an activity where children and some adults could mimic putting out a fire in a burning building. Many fires were put out by the Junior Firemen.

Some children had their faces painted and were pleased with the results. The pictures show some of this art.

The Bounce House was a popular activity. Instead of climbing the wall and sliding down, some adventurous children climbed up the slide and either scaled down the wall or dropped onto the inflated floor.

Food was available from the El Molcajete taco truck and ice cream too was on hand to cool people off.

We must all thank the members of the Social Committee and all other volunteers for arranging, planning and leading this event. We must also thank the men and women of the North Chatham Fire Department for all they do including participating in this annual event.

Please enjoy the pictures of this special day and please consider volunteering to help with next year’s fundraiser.
