This years Pool Party was a multi-event. Besides the Pool Party, we had Bullock’s BBQ and a Porch/CORA Fill-The- Truck Collection.
By all accounts, it was a successful day. People of all ages enjoyed the pool, feasted on Barbeque and helped fill the CORA truck.
CORA offered a raffle ticket to anyone who brought a donation. The winner was Dave Powell. Congratulations Dave!
The food catered by Bullock’s included pulled pork, chicken, potato salad, baked beans and rolls. There was lemonade, iced tea and water to cool ourselves from the warm weather. The diners who came back for seconds are proof of just how good the food tasted. There was plenty to eat and even leftovers to bring home.
Bullock’s was very attentive, replacing empty trays with full ones and serving the drinks.
We must thank the Social Committee members and their cadre of volunteers for the work required to prepare, organize and run this event.
