Upcoming Events in the Neighborhood!

Here are the upcoming events happening in the neighborhood. If you haven’t already – make sure you mark these dates on your calendars.  

Nov 24 Annual Turkey Trot @9 am

  • Starts promptly at 9 am at the GV Park field Stadium
  • ALL ARE WELCOME! Runners, walkers, strollers, wagons, bikes, and scooters! 
  • We will also be collecting money for TABLE to help local families over the holidays. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. 
  • We will provide a map (closer to the event) so if you aren’t participating be sure to “BANG YOUR POTS AND PANS” and cheer on your neighbors as they run past your house!

Nov 24 First Annual Turkey Bowl @9:30 am

  • All are welcome to come to play in the first annual GV flag football Turkey Bowl at the Governors Park Field (where the turkey trot will end)
  • Kids (any age) @9:30 am
  • Adults and Kids (14+) @10:00 am
  • Spectators welcomed!!!

No Senior Gathering at Flair’s for November or December

  • November & December are so busy with the holidays we wouldn’t meet those months and start up again in January.

Dec 10 Adults-only TGIS @7:00 pm

  • Located at Barbara McCullen’s (30126 Porter)
  • Adults only and all sub-divisions of Governor’s Village are welcome.

Dec 17 WinterFest @1:30 pm – 6:00 pm 

  • Enjoy a day full of festivities. 
  • Santa Firetruck Visit around the neighborhood from 9:00 – 11:30 am
  • NEW Event in the Stadium Park Field from 1:30 – 6:00 pm (Photos with Santa, Hot Chocolate/Coffee, Christmas Cookies and more). 
  •  House Decorating Contest and Luminaries at 6:00 pm
  •  Make sure your calendar is marked for our NEW neighborhood party – WinterFest.
